Joybuzzer Issue #1 (Spring 1992)

Joybuzzer was a great zine run by Clive Young, Dave Streich and S. Scott Lessig. It featured discography updates, news, creative editorials, fan letters and answers and the like. I'll be uploading some (if not all) of the issues on here. However some of these will be edited (i.e. published fan letters with names and addresses) but most will be brought to you as they were. Enjoy.

  1. Amazing stuff Bill - brings back lots of memories of things I recognize but are buried somewhere in my basement...

Back in the day, there was a very active mailing list for TMJ. Lots of song analysis, band news and tip offs for unadvertised shows, trades of show recordings and other great stuff. At one point, someone organized a fan CD of TMJ covers - I want to say the CD had a plain white cover with a hand drawn cartoon guy in a trench coat... Anyway, I submitted a song for that, but too late to be included. It was a midi dance version of King Of Beers with a text-to-speech "singer" and a South Park sample coming out of the solo. I've searched and searched for my original of that song, but that was many computers ago and try as I have, it doesn't seem to have made it onto backup.

I've searched for archives of that newsgroup, as well as that song. You wouldn't happen to have that anywhere in your archives?

    Thanks
    Tom
